जोश से लबरेज रतनू बताते है कि यह मंजिल काफी नही थी, अपने माता-पिता के सपने को पूरा करने व समाज के युवाओं को शिक्षा के प्रति जागरूक करने के लिए एक प्रेरणा दायी मंजिल हासिल करने का उनका एक दृढ़ संकल्प था, जिसे पूरा करने के लिए वे लगातार अथक प्रयास कर रहे थे । इस दौरान उनका 5 बार RAS इंटरव्यू में सलेक्शन भी हो गया लेकिन रेंक कम आने के कारण हर बार उनका अधीनस्थ सेवा में चयन हुआ जिसे उन्होंने जॉइन नही किया ।
कहते है ना कि, “मंजिल उन्हीं को मिलती है जिनके सपनों में जान होती है,पंख से कुछ नहीं होता, हौसलों से उड़ान होती हैं” । इसी चंद पंक्तियों ने महावीर सिंह रतनू के सपनों को जिंदा रखा और दिन रात के अथक प्रयासों से अंततः 2018 के RAS इंटरव्यू में मिली सफलता ने रतनू की उम्मीदों को चार चांद लगा दिए और इस बार उनका सलेक्शन 295वीं रेंक पर हुआ । रतनू के परिजन अपने लाड़ले की इस उपलब्धि से गर्व से कहते है कि उन्हें अपने लाड़ले रतनू पर पूरा यकीन था कि वह अपने परिवार,समाज सहित जिले भर का नाम रोशन करेगा । जिस दिन RAS का रिजल्ट आया उसी दिन से रतनू युवा वर्ग के आदर्श बन गए है,बधाइयों का तांता लगा हुआ है ।
महावीर सिंह रतनू ने अपनी इस उपलब्धि पर युवा वर्ग को संदेश देते हुए कहा है कि देश की युवा शक्ति के पास असीम ताकत है। युवा सफलता पाने की सोचें वहां इतिहास रच सकता है। रतनू कहते है कि वे दिन में सरकारी ड्यूटी करते और रात को 3 बजे तक पढ़ाई करते,बकौल रतनू ने कभी भी चार-पांच घंटे से अधिक की नींद नहीं ली। रतनू वर्तमान में बीकानेर के वाणिज्य कर विभाग में जेसीटीओ के पद पर अपनी सेवाएं दे रहे है । उल्लेखनीय है,महावीर सिंह रतनू को RAS में 295वीं रेंक मिली है तो ऐसे में उनको तहसीलदार या ब्लॉक डवलपमेंट ऑफिसर जैसे महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर जिम्मेदारी मिल सकती है ।
