गृह मंत्रालय ने किसानों के प्रदर्शन स्थल सिंघु, गाजीपुर और टीकरी बॉर्डर पर इंटरनेट सेवाओं के निलंबन की अवधि मंगलवार रात तक के लिए बढ़ा दी है। अधिकारियों ने यह जानकारी दी। इन तीन बॉर्डर पर किसान केंद्र के नए तीन कृषि कानूनों के खिलाफ नंवबर से प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं।
नयी दिल्ली। गृह मंत्रालय ने किसानों के प्रदर्शन स्थल सिंघु, गाजीपुर और टीकरी बॉर्डर पर इंटरनेट सेवाओं के निलंबन की अवधि मंगलवार रात तक के लिए बढ़ा दी है। अधिकारियों ने यह जानकारी दी। इन तीन बॉर्डर पर किसान केंद्र के नए तीन कृषि कानूनों के खिलाफ नंवबर से प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं। इन स्थानों के साथ-साथ आसपास के क्षेत्रों में भी इंटरनेट सेवाएं निलंबित रहेंगी। यह व्यवस्था 31 जनवरी को रात 11 बजे से आरंभ हुई और दो फरवरी को रात 11 बजे तक जारी रहेगी। गृह मंत्रालय के एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि टेलीकॉम सेवाओं के अस्थायी निलंबन (जन आपातकाल या जन सुरक्षा) नियम 2017 के तहत यह फैसला ‘‘सार्वजनिक सुरक्षा को बनाए रखने तथा जन आपातकाल से बचने” की खातिर लिया गया है। पहले, इन तीन सीमाओं तथा आसपास के इलाकों में इंटरनेट सेवाओं को 29 जनवरी रात 11 बजे से लेकर 31 जनवरी रात 11 बजे तक के लिए निलंबित किया गया था। इससे पहले, किसानों की ट्रैक्टर परेड के दौरान हिंसा के मद्देनजर दिल्ली के कुछ इलाकों में 26 जनवरी को इंटरनेट सेवाओं को अस्थायी तौर पर निलंबित किया गया था।
