बताया , “ इस महत्वपूर्ण चर्चा में हिस्सा लेना उनके लिए गौरव की बात है । वर्ष 2020 का दशक 2030 के सतत विकास के लक्ष्यों को हासिल करने के लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुदाय को तुरंत तथा प्रभावशाली ढंग से इन पर काम करना होगा। हमें यह बात माननी चाहिए कि सभी के भविष्य की कल्पना व्यवस्था में बैठे कुछ लोगों द्वारा नहीं की जा सकती । यह सुनिश्चित किया जाना चाहिए कि जिस पैमाने पर बदलाव हो रहे हैं उनसे कोई पीछे न छूट जाये। यह सीमाओं से आगे जाकर मिलकर और तालमेल से काम करने का मौका है जिससे कि हम अपनी मौजूदा तथा भविष्य की पीढियों के लिए समावेशी दुनिया का निर्माण कर सकें। ”
उन्होंने कहा कि वह अतीत की गहराइयों में जाकर भविष्य की तस्वीर को उकेरने की कोशिश करती हैं क्योंकि हमारी लोककथाओं में असीमित खजाना है जिसे दुनिया तक पहुंचाने की जरूरत है और वह अपनी कहानी की विधा से यही प्रयास करने में जुटी हैं।
इस विशेष सत्र में वह 30 सदस्य देशों के विश्व स्तर पर ख्याति प्राप्त सामाजिक नेताओं के साथ अपने विचार साझा
