गुजरात में चक्रवात का असर अभी भी बना हुआ है। कच्छ में मांडवी, नलिया, नारायण सरोवर, जाखौ बंदर, मुंद्रा और गांधीधाम, अहमदाबाद समेत पूरे राज्य में तेज बारिश हो रही है। 90 से 125 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से हवाएं चल रही हैं। पूरे मांडवी में 18 घंटे से बिजली नहीं है। इससे लोग परेशान हैं। पिछले 24 घंटों में कच्छ में 2 से 7 इंच बारिश हुई है।

गुजरात से गुजरने के बाद यह राजस्थान में एक डिप्रेशन वाले मौसमी सिस्टम की तरह प्रवेश करेगा। इस दौरान कई इलाकों में 10 से 20 सेमी तक बारिश होने के आसार हैं।
मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, गुजरात के साथ दक्षिण-पश्चिम राजस्थान के कई इलाको में शुक्रवार को भारी बारिश होगी। ऐसा अनुमान है कि शुक्रवार दोपहर तक तूफान कमजोर पड़ जाएगा। हालांकि शनिवार को भी इसका असर राजस्थान में देखा जा सकता है। रविवार को पूर्वी राजस्थान, उससे सटे हरियाणा, मध्य प्रदेश और उत्तर प्रदेश के कुछ हिस्सों में बारिश हो सकती है।
मौसम विभाग के मुताबिक, इस तूफान ने राजस्थान में एंट्री डिप्रेशन के रूप में प्रवेश किया है। सबसे ज्यादा समय तक पाकिस्तान-गुजरात की सीमा के पास बाड़मेर में रहेगा। यह शुक्रवार देर शाम तक बालोतरा, जोधपुर की सीमा तक आकर कमजोर पड़ सकता है।
इस तूफान के प्रभाव से राजस्थान के 5 जिलों में अति भारी बारिश के लिए रेड अलर्ट, जबकि 13 जिलों में भारी बारिश की आशंका जताते हुए यहां के लिए ऑरेंज अलर्ट जारी किया गया है। अनुमान है कि 24 घंटे के दौरान राजस्थान के कुल जिलों में 200 मिमी (8 इंच) या उससे ज्यादा बारिश हो सकती है।
