उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि सरकार किसानों को नोटिस भेजकर डरा रही है, लेकिन इससे किसान डरने वाले नहीं हैं। किसानों की डाली मिट्टी पर जवान का पहरा है। इससे व्यापारी हमारी जमीन पर बुरी नजर नहीं डालेगा। हमारा मंच और पंच एक ही है। सरकार वार्ता के लिए बुलाएगी तो हम तैयार हैं। टिकैत ने यह भी कहा कि सरकार को व्यापारियों से लगाव है, किसानों से नहीं।
