इस मौके पर पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि आज भारत और नेपाल के बीच ‘लॉन्ग टर्म पावर ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट’ संपन्न हुआ है। इसमें हमने आने वाले 10 वर्षों में नेपाल से 10 हज़ार मेगावाट बिजली आयात करने का लक्ष्य रखा है। मुझे याद है कि 9 साल पहले 2014 में कार्यभार सँभालने के तीन महीने के भीतर मैंने नेपाल की अपनी पहली यात्रा की थी। उस समय मैंने भारत-नेपाल संबंधों के लिए एक “हिट” फार्मूला दिया था- हाईवे, आई-वे और ट्रांस-वे।
नेपाल के पीएम का चौथा दौरा
नेपाल के प्रधानमंत्री पुष्प कमल दाहाल ‘प्रचंड’ 31 मई से भारत की यात्रा पर हैं। बतौर प्रधानमंत्री ये उनका चौथा भारत दौरा है। तीन जून तक की उनकी इस यात्रा के दौरान, भारत और नेपाल के बीच दो दशक पुरानी संधि की समीक्षा भी होगी। 3 जून को ये इंदौर और उज्जैन भी जाएंगे।
