मुंबई। IPL में मंगलवार को पंजाब किंग्स ने गुजरात टाइटन्स को एकतरफा मुकाबले में 8 विकेट से हराया। PBKS के सामने 144 का टारगेट था, जिसे टीम ने 16 ओवर के खेल में 2 विकेट खोकर हासिल कर लिया। शिखर धवन ने नाबाद 62 रन बनाए और टॉप स्कोरर रहे। वहीं, लियाम लिविंगस्टोन ने ताबड़तोड़ बल्लेबाजी करते हुए केवल 10 गेंदों पर नाबाद 30 रन बनाए।
मैच के 16वें ओवर में लिविंगस्टोन ने धमाकेदार बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 28 रन बना दिए। मोहम्मद शमी के इस ओवर में लिविंगस्टोन ने 3 छक्के और 2 चौके जड़े। इसी के साथ पंजाब किंग्स की 10 मैचों में ये पांचवीं जीत रही। टीम ने 5 मैच हारे भी है। वहीं, गुजरात की लगातार 5 जीत के बाद ये पहली हार है। हार्दिक की कप्तानी वाली टीम ने 10 में से 8 मुकाबले जीते और 2 में हार का सामना करना पड़ा। इससे पहले टॉस जीतकर बैटिंग करते हुए गुजरात के बल्लेबाज ने निराश किया और टीम ने 20 ओवर में 143/8 का स्कोर बनाया। साई सुदर्शन ने सबसे ज्यादा 64 रन की नाबाद पारी खेली। PBKS की ओर से कगिसो रबाडा के खाते में 4 विकेट आए।
बेयरस्टो का खराब फॉर्म जारी
पंजाब के सलामी बल्लेबाज जॉनी बेयरस्टो का एक बार फिर बल्ला नहीं चला। उन्होंने 6 गेंदों में सिर्फ एक रन बनाए। उनका विकेट मोहम्मद शमी ने लिया। इस सीजन उनके बल्ले से एक भी अर्धशतक नहीं निकला है। पिछले 5 मैचों में उन्होंने 32, 6, 9, 12, 12 के स्कोर बनाए हैं। गुजरात के लिए साई सुदर्शन को छोड़कर कोई भी बल्लेबाज अच्छी पारी नहीं खेल पाया। पंजाब के गेंदबाजों ने पहले ही ओवर से गुजरात पर दबाव बनाए रखा। रबाडा के खाते में सबसे ज्यादा 4 विकेट आए।
अकेले सुदर्शन ने दिखाया दम
साई सुदर्शन ने बढ़िया बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 42 गेंदों में अपने IPL करियर का पहला अर्धशतक पूरा किया। नंबर-3 पर बैटिंग के लिए साई अकेले टीम के लिए खड़े रहे और उन्होंने 128 के स्ट्राइक रेट से नाबाद 64 रन बनाए।
रबाडा की खतरनाक गेंदबाजी
मैच में कगिसो रबाडा ने शानदार गेंदबाजी करते हुए 35 रन देकर 4 विकेट अपने नाम किए। उन्होंने लगातार दो गेंदों में राहुल तेवतिया और राशिद खान को आउट किया। रबाडा के अलावा ऋषि धवन और लियाम लिविंगस्टोन के खाते में एक-एक विकेट आए हैं।
ना कप्तान चले ना सलामी बल्लेबाज
चौथे ओवर तक गुजरात के दोनों सलामी बल्लेबाज पवेलियन लौट गए। शुभमन गिल 9 रन बनाकर आउट हुए। वहीं, ऋद्धिमान ने अपना विकेट 21 रन पर गंवाया। कप्तान हार्दिक पंड्या का बल्ला भी मैच में नहीं चला। वो 7 गेंद में सिर्फ एक रन बना पाए और ऋषि धवन का शिकार बने।
