नई दिल्ली। असम में जीत के महज डेढ़ महीने में ही कांग्रेस विधायक रूपज्योति कुर्मी का पार्टी से ऐसा मोह भंग हुआ कि उन्होंने इस्तीफा देने का फैसला कर लिया। पंजाब, राजस्थान से लेकर मुंबई में आंतरिक कलह का सामना कर रही कांग्रेस को उस वक्त एक और बड़ा झटका लगा, जब असम में उसके विधायक रूपज्योति कुर्मी ने पार्टी हाईकमान पर गंभीर आरोप लगाकर इस्तीफा दे दिया। वह अगले सप्ताह सत्तारूढ़ भारतीय जनता पार्टी में शामिल होंगे।
जोरहाट जिले की मरियानी सीट से जीतने वाले रूपज्योति कुर्मी ने लगातार चौथी बार विधायक के रूप में जीतने के महज डेढ़ महीने बाद ही अपना इस्तीफा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष बिस्वजीत दैमारी को सौंप दिया। इस दौरान कुर्मी के साथ भाजपा के दो विधायक संसदीय कार्य मंत्री पीयूष हजारिका और मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा के राजनीतिक सचिव जयंत मल्ला बरुआ भी थे। ये दोनों विधायक पहले कांग्रेस में थे और 2015 में सरमा के साथ भगवा पार्टी में शामिल हुए थे।
इस्तीफा देने बाद कुर्मी ने कहा कि मुझे विधानसभा में विपक्ष के नेता के पद का आश्वासन दिया गया था, मगर बाद में इनकार कर दिया गया। मैंने पार्टी के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष पद के लिए आवेदन किया था, लेकिन वह भी नहीं मिला। पार्टी ने मेरा नाम राज्य विधानसभा की लोक लेखा समिति (पीएसी) के सदस्यों की सूची में शामिल नहीं किया। ऐसा लगता है कि कांग्रेस नहीं चाहती कि मेरे जैसे नेता जो एक विशेष समुदाय से हैं, ऊपर उठें।
उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा जिस कड़ी मेहनत और समर्पण के साथ काम कर रहे हैं, उसके लिए मुझे बधाई देनी चाहिए और मुझे विश्वास है कि उनके नेतृत्व में राज्य में सर्वांगीण विकास होगा। इसलिए मैंने अगले सोमवार को भाजपा में शामिल होने का फैसला किया है। कुर्मी ने कहा कि वह पहले ही कांग्रेस नेतृत्व को अपना इस्तीफा सौंप चुके हैं।
पंजाब और राजस्थान कांग्रेस में कलब के बीच असम से कांग्रेस विधायक रूपज्योति कुर्मी ने कहा कि कांग्रेस अपने युवा नेताओं की नहीं सुन रही है। इसलिए सभी राज्यों में इसकी स्थिति बिगड़ती जा रही है। मैं विधानसभा अध्यक्ष से मिलूंगा और अपना इस्तीफा दे दूंगा। राहुल गांधी नेतृत्व करने में असमर्थ हैं, अगर वह पार्टी के शीर्ष पर रहते हैं तो कांग्रेस आगे नहीं बढ़ेगी। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि मैं कांग्रेस छोड़ रहा हूं क्योंकि दिल्ली में आलाकमान और गुवाहाटी के नेता बुजुर्ग नेताओं को ही प्राथमिकता देते हैं। हमने उनसे कहा था कि कांग्रेस के पास इस बार सत्ता में आने का अच्छा मौका है और हमें एआईयूडीएफ के साथ गठबंधन नहीं करना चाहिए क्योंकि यह एक गलती होगी और वास्तव में यही हुआ।
विधानसभा से उनके इस्तीफे के बाद असम कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष रिपुन बोरा ने कुर्मी को पार्टी विरोधी गतिविधियों के लिए तत्काल प्रभाव से पार्टी से निष्कासित कर दिया। कांग्रेस ने असम में हुए चुनाव में 29 सीटें जीती थीं, जो 2016 के नतीजों से तीन सीटें अधिक हैं। वहीं, भाजपा गठबंधन ने 75 सीटें जीती हैं। ऐसी खबर है कि कम से कम दो और कांग्रेस विधायक पार्टी छोड़ेंगे और भाजपा में शामिल होंगे।
