13 मई: धनखड़ हिंसाग्रस्त इलाकों के दौरे पर गए
धनखड़ कूचबिहार के दौरे पर चुनावों के बाद हो रही हिंसा में प्रभावित लोगों से मिलने गए। सीतलकुची इलाके में उनके काफिले को भीड़ ने काले झंडे दिखाए, वहीं दिनहटा वापस जाओ के नारे लगाए। सीतलकुची में चुनाव के दौरान केंद्रीय सुरक्षा बलों की फायरिंग में 4 लोगों की जान गई थी। इसके बाद राज्यपाल ने पुलिस अफसरों को फटकार लगाते हुए राज्य में कानून-व्यवस्था की बदहाली पर सवाल उठाए थे।
राज्यपाल के पीड़ित लोगों से मुलाकात करने की घोषणा पर राज्य की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने आपत्ति जताई है। राज्यपाल को लिखे पत्र में CM ने कहा कि गवर्नर के सचिव जिलों का दौरा राज्य सरकार के आदेश के बाद निश्चित करते हैं। राज्यपाल का दौरा जिला और राज्य सरकार के अफसरों से चर्चा के बाद तय किया जाता है। गवर्नर प्रोटोकॉल के खिलाफ जा रहे हैं।
