17 दिन पहले भी घुसपैठ हुई थी
8 जनवरी को चीन के एक सैनिक को भारतीय सीमा में घुसने के बाद हिरासत में ले लिया गया था। घटना पूर्वी लद्दाख के पैगॉन्ग त्सो लेक के दक्षिणी हिस्से की थी। भारत ने 2 दिन बाद चीनी सैनिक को लौटा दिया था। चीन ने सफाई दी थी कि उसका सैनिक गलती से भारतीय इलाके में चला गया। इससे पहले अक्टूबर में भी चीन के सैनिक ने भारतीय सीमा में घुसपैठ की थी। अक्टूबर में डेमचोक सेक्टर में एक चीनी सैनिक को हिरासत में लिया गया था। 21 अक्टूबर को इसे चुशूल-मॉल्डो मीटिंग पॉइंट पर चीनी अफसरों को सौंप दिया गया था। वह दो दिन भारतीय सेना की हिरासत में रहा था।
