प्रस्ताव के अनुसार, सूचना, प्रौद्योगिकी एवं संचार विभाग द्वारा बताई गई टेक्निकल स्पेशिफिकेशन युक्त लेपटॉप-टेबलेट अधिस्वीकृत पत्रकारों द्वारा क्रय किए जाएंगे। अधिकतम राशि 70 हजार रुपए प्रति लेपटॉप-टेबलेट तक संबंधित पत्रकारों को पुनर्भरण किया जाएगा। इसके लिए जिला सूचना एवं जनसम्पर्क अधिकारियों को बजट उपलब्ध करवाया जाएगा।
श्री गहलोत के इस निर्णय से पत्रकारों को अपने कार्य निष्पादन में आसानी होगी तथा जनहित से जुड़े मुद्दों को वे और अधिक दृढ़ता से रख सकेंगे।
