नई दिल्ली। मणिपुर के मैतेई बहुल कांगपोकी जिले में मंगलवार रात हुए हमले में 9 लोगों की जान चली गई। 10 लोग घायल हुए हैं। पुलिस ने बताया कि रात करीब एक बजे कांगपोकी से सटे खामेलोक गांव और इंफाल पूर्वी जिले में हमला किया गया। हमलावर अत्याधुनिक हथियारों से लैस थे। मारे गए सभी लोग खामेलोक गांव के हैं।
इस घटना के अलावा मंगलवार को बिष्णुपुर जिले में भी मंगलवार को हिंसा हुई। यहां फौगाकचाओ इखाई गांव में कुकी समुदाय के लोग मैतेई इलाकों में बंकर बनाने की कोशिश कर रहे थे। इस दौरान कुकी लोगों और सुरक्षा बलों के बीच फायरिंग हुई।
सोमवार रात भी खमेनलोक इलाके में गोलीबारी हुई थी, जिसमें 9 लोग घायल हुए थे। हिंसा के चलते राज्य में इंटरनेट पर 15 जून तक बैन बढ़ा दिया गया। कुछ इलाकों में कर्फ्यू में ढील भी दी गई है।
