इस सम्बंध में पवनपुरी निवासी प्रार्थी देवेश कपूर ने कोटगेट पुलिस में दी रिपोर्ट में बताया कि बुधवार की रात करीब साढ़े सात बजे राजीव मार्ग कोटगेट जुनामढ़ पतालेश्वर महादेव मंदिर के पास वह अपने गोदाम जा रहा था इसी दौरान आरोपी आरीफ, कालु, खाली उर्फ खली व 5-7 अन्य ने उसके साथ चाकू, लाठियो, सरियें से जानलेवा हमला करते हुए उसके सिर पर चोट मारी और मारपीट करते हुए जमीन पर गिरा दिया। प्रार्थी देवेश कपूर ने पुलिस को दी रिपोर्ट में आरोप लगाते हुए बताया कि आरोपियों ने उसे धमकी देते हुए कहा कि तु हमे 5 लाख रूपए दे देना और तेरी किरायेशुदा दुकान भी हमे दे देना। अगली बार तुझे और तेरे पिता संजय कुमार को तलवार से काटकर टुकटे-टुकडे कर देंगे। प्रार्थी के अनुसार आरोपियों ने उसे यह धमकी दी है कि तेरा भी वही हश्र करेंगे जो बीते दिनों हुए शहर के सबसे चर्चित सोहनकोठी तेजकरण गहलोत वाले प्रकरण में हुआ था, हमारा कोई कुछ नही बिगाड़ सकता। फिलहाल कोटगेट पुलिस ने आरीफ, कालु,खाली उर्फ खली व 5-7 अन्य के खिलाफ जानलेवा हमले की विभिन्न धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज कर जांच लक्ष्मणराम सउनि को सौंपी है ।
